The Fast Sampler is used for furnace-front sampling of molten steel. It consists of a metal shell and a sand-type sampling head; a qualified sample is obtained within seconds of immersion. Used with direct-reading spectrometers and carbon/sulfur analyzers, it enables rapid composition measurement for process control in BOF, EAF and LF refining.
